COMPANY HISTORY
In 1977(Showa 52) | Kikuo Otani established the Otani lens factory. |
In 1979(Showa 54) | Introducing Spherical Surface Processing. Starting handling TAC polarized lens. |
In 1984(Showa 59) | Changed the company name: |
In 1992(Heisei 4) | Polly carbonate (PC) handling of polarized lenses started. |
In 2003(Heisei 15) | The head office factory was moved to the new present location. Kazuko Otani became chairman, Kyoko Otani became the new president. |
In 2004(Heisei 16) | Introduction of our special multi-axis lens cutting machine. |
In 2006(Heisei 18) | Started direct trade business with foreign countries over seas. Handling of CLIC Readers started. |
In 2013(Heisei 25) | Two special multi-axis lens cutting machines were added. |
In 2014(Heisei 26) | Introduction of a new spherical surface processing machine. We expanded our company building, established the product section. |

Ohkei Corporation Optical Co.
We have been pursuing and following the path of excellence as pioneers of polarized lenses for 40 years. We have faced our challenges, climbed many mountains and weathered the storms. We have always, and continue to be, the leading innovators since our company was founded. Our success is due to so many dedicated people including our suppliers, employees and our local neighbors as well, just to name a few.
At this time, I’d like to express my deepest gratitude to everyone for their dedication to quality and innovative pioneering spirit.
Looking to the future, Ohkei and our dedicated staff are addressing the needs and desires of our customers. Our flexibility and ingenuity is unrivaled as we face the challenges of the 21st-century.
